So, you’ve narrowed it down to the Schwinn Turismo and the Joovy Zoom 360, and now you’re wondering which is the best swivel jogger for you. Both are excellent choices, with many similar features. Both the Schwinn Turismo and the Joovy Zoom 360 offer the same basic swivel jogger features, such as aluminum lightweight frames, 12-inch front swivel wheels and 16-inch rear wheels. Both swivel joggers also offer 5-point adjustable child safety harness’s, sun/rain canopies, storage, and easy-fold designs. Both the Schwinn Turismo and the Joovy Zoom also have excellent suspension systems as well, however this is where they begin to differ.
The Schwinn Turismo comes equipped with an exposed spring suspension system, and the Joovy Zoom 360 comes with a 3-inch travel suspension and shock absorbers. The Joovy Zoom also sits up higher than the Schwinn Turismo and has no rear axle, which allows for maximum stride length. Other differences include the weight, and extra features. The Schwinn Turismo weighs 31 pounds, 2.2 pounds more than the Joovy Zoom at 28.8 pounds. The Joovy Zoom’s max weight is 75 pounds as opposed to the Schwinn’s 50 pounds. 25 pounds is a big difference, it can mean an extra year or two of use.
As for extra features, the Schwinn Turismo comes with an MP3 speaker, molded parent tray with two cup holders, and a pivoting child’s tray, also with two cup holders. The handle is slip resistant and adjustable. Plus you get a remote lock release positioned on the handle bar that allows you to lock and unlock the front wheel. This is kind of a handy feature to have.
The Joovy Zoom 360 has a neoprene, lightweight parent organizer that includes 2 cup holders and a zippered container. It comes with a running leash, and a tire pump. It has also been noted for its extremely large protective canopy.
All in all, as I said before, both of these swivel joggers are excellent choices. The only other difference is the price. The Joovy Zoom 360 has a list price of $239.99 while the Schwinn Turismo Swivel Jogger lists for $199.99. That’s a $40 dollar difference, however the Joovy Zoom also has more reviews, and 45 out of 48 rated it 4 to 5 stars, with 5 being the max. That’s 94% customer satisfaction. The Schwinn Turismo also reviewed very well, with 37 out of 38 rating it 4 to 5 stars, that’s 97% satisfaction.
